"DISC members are general dentists and specialists who are interested in building their implant business," said Dr. Leopardi. "It is about supporting each other, strengthening our talents and increasing the storehouse of knowledge. I have gained enormously from the study club, and it is exciting to see other doctos refreshed and inspired in their own practices. We need to remember that every day begins with us, but should not end with us."

The 2010 DISC schedule includes five events, beginning on February 11, where Dr. Henry Salama from Atlanta will discuss the topic, "Diagnostic Keys for Treament Planning in  Aesthetic and Implant Therapy: Minimize Failures/Optimize Success."

In addition to the DISC program, Dr. Leopard, together with Perry & Young, will launch The Knowledge Factory, an educational entity developed to bring the best educators together to provide hands-on, three-day programs for various aspects of restorative and removable dentistry. About that rock star status, from his early days as a dental student sporting an AC/DC muscle t-shirt, it was clear that music was an equal passion to dentistry for Leopardi. After being featured in various rock bands, beginning as a teenager, he has grown to a full-fledged, independent rocking artist. In 2007, he released a music video featuring his rock ballad, titled "Always Me."

"Music is a wonderful stress release. We all need other interests in life that feed the soul. Whether it be art, literature, exercise or cooking and for me, it's music. Ultimately, it makes me a better person and dentist," said Leopardi. To learn more about Dr. Leopardi's music, visit www.aldotunes.com.
